Church Statement of Significance: One of Melbourne's earliest bluestone churches, of which the four bay nave of 1850-1 was designed by Newson & Blackburn. Other work, since largely reversed, was by Charles Webb in 1855-6, and Nathaniel Billing was responsible for the north aisle of 1863-4 and the south aisle and chancel between 1868 and 1876. The street front comprises a triple arch single storey arcade with three matching windows behind and on the first floor.
