The area is clearly of local significance. Few areas of natural woodland remain throughout Melbourne and several botanical species are of particular interest. It is considered that the area is also of regional/metropolitan significance.

The recreational and educational values are of key local importance.

LOCATION/BOUNDARIES:

The land in question is located generally north-east of the intersection of Springvale Road and Cheltenham Road and immediately south of Coomoora Reserve.
