The former Victorian Rifle Range Pavilion, constructed in 1879, embodying an earlier homestead and extended in 1906, is of historic significance at a State level as the oldest and only surviving building on the former Williamstown range. Statuary Pavilion, Botanical Gardens, Ballarat, was erected in 1887 to designs by T E Molloy to house a collection of statues donated to the city by J R Thompson. A rectangular octagon in plan, the glass-walled structure has a convex roof and octagonal lantern and dome. The entrance faces are pedimented.
