The history of this single-manual instrument of seven stops has not been clearly established and its builder is unknown. Understood to have been placed in a Bendigo residence for many years, it was installed at the Methodist Church, Arnold Street, Bendigo before its installation at Ararat in 1957. This organ retains its attractive Gothic case, with gilt facade pipes, script-engraved drawstops and iron compostition pedals. Classified: 06/04/1989
