Statement of Significance

An attractive two storey block of shops with residences over was designed by George Jobbins and built in 1877 for Evans and Gleeson in very similar architechtural detailing to the immediately adjacent number 73 which had been built nine years previously.
The original cast iron pavement verandah with posts has been demolished and an unsympathetic cantilevered canopy has been substituted.
