Statement of Significance

A large well-preserved multi-storey brick warehouse representative of those built in Melbourne both during and immediately after the boom period and one of the larger examples to be found in South Melbourne, associated with the profitable growth of the Robur tea business during that time, and the precursor to the Tea House in Clarendon Street. Together with the former Castlemaine Brewery adjoining, the building makes an impressive contribution to the streetscape at the southern end of Queensbridge Street.
