The property contains a building group consisting of a homestead, stables, huge milking sheds and two large silos. (Note - the original property has been subdivided into smaller farms, and the old gates Bearing the name "Olinda Yarra" lead to the neighbouring property).

One of the sole remaining physical examples of a dairy farm complex from the period of the region's history when the Lilydale-Yarra Glen area was one of the largest milk-producing areas in Victoria.

Further, "Olinda Yarra" was the largest and most advanced dairy farm in the region, and substantial elements of its original plant remain perfectly intact. (Tansley, 1978)
