Show Place Maps and StreetviewStatement of Significance
This site has regional significance. Individually, the relics along the route of this former timber tramway are not of significance. But as a whole, the formation is an interesting example of a 'between wars' minor tramway feeding into a mainline, in this case the Powelltown tramway. (Supple, 1991)
Description
Lower section of tramway follows the Saxton Creek Valley. Examples of each of wooden rails, wooden with steel trap rails and lightweight steel rails are found along the tramway route. (Supple 1991)
