The Victorian Mount Morgan Mine is of possible regional significance as a substantially intact example of a late nineteenth century gold mining working the upper Yarra area. It is also of interest because of the geological formations which were being worked which differed from the other mines in the area.
Description
The working of this mine are well preserved, with all tunnels and drives being accessible and the vertical shaft remaining unblocked. (Supple 1991)
