Statement of Significance
Description
Constructed by local residents and opened in March 1907. Deconsecrated and sold in mid 1990s. Refurbished, with a belltower and porch added c.1997. Used for civil ceremonies.
A timber church of 1909 which, despite the naive combination of a Gothic arched door with square pointed windows, achieves an elegant Arts and Crafts character in the gable woodwork, with its neatly incorporated cross, and has a natural timber finish internally. This character would have been even more pronounced with the original dark (probably stained) finish of the shiplap cladding which is now painted white. (NT, 6063)
