Longacres, 15 Range Road, Olinda is of State historical significance.
Of state historical significance as the home of Sir Arthur Streeton,
oneof Australia's great landscape painters. Longacres is the only
remainingproperty belonging to Streeton and the buildings and grounds
remain muchas he left them. He planted much of the garden himself and
used thegarden as inspiration for his still life paintings of plants.
Longacres was often visited by Streeton's eminent artist, academic
andmusician friends including Tom Roberts and Dame Nellie Melba

Description
Longacres is a one-and-a-half storey unpainted weatherboard house with bands of timber shingles in the gables. The roof is half-hipped with a variety of dormers (both gabled and skillion). The roof is clad with corrugated metal.
There is a caretaker's cottage and a garden studio on site, constructed of fibro-cement sheets in an imitation of half-timbering.
