Statement of Significance
The region's oldest store in near original condition. (Tansley, 1978)
Description
Today the store is structurally sound but badly in need of maintenance. The weatherboards and exterior staircase of the rear section are rotten, and the whole building badly needs painting.
The only major alteration has been the glassing in of the top verandah. (Tansley, 1978)
The main store is presently used as an office and showroom of a heating contractor, and the original butcher's shop off the lane side the store is used for pottery classes. (Tansley, 1978)
