Statement of Significance
Ferntree Gully National Park Kiosk is of regional significance as the most intact structure associated with the early period of development of the park, as a fine example of Edwardian park architecture and as a symbol of the community's appreciation of this park over most of the twentieth century.
Description
This attractive Edwardian-era kiosk was in a bad state of repair until recently. (Supple 1991) Restoration works occurred around 1993 and it now serves as an education and meeting centre. (The Age) A red brick path leads to the kiosk. Into the bricks are carved symbols that reflect the loss that resulted from the 1997 bushfires in nearby Ferny Creek.
