In 1893 the Albyn's Isle, the cutter Jessie and ballast lighter Sarah Ann sank off Williamstown and were afterwards raised (MHT Report 1893). The Albyn's Isle was found to have "injuries of serious a character that the company have decided to break her up and remove her name from the Victorian Shipping Registry" (Argus 7/8/1893).
The Albyn's Isle had been lying in the fairway since being sunk in a collision by the SS Flinders in February 1893 (WC 22/7/1893).
