The ship Harlech Castle with Captain Davies, left Melbourne for Newcastle on 26th June with a crew of 23. A vessel resembling her was seen by the schooner Alcandre to be listing badly. The government steamer Pharos searched Bass Strait and its eastern approaches without result.
