Mrs. Jessie Moule made application to the churchwardens of her Parish church, St. Andrew's Anglican, Brighton, for permission to install a stained glass window in the north transept of the building as a memorial to her son, Lance-Corporal HO Moule, 'who gave his life for the Empire at Gallipoli'. It is not known whether this was completed or whether the window in Trinity College Chapel was installed instead. The original St. Andrew's church burned down in 1961, with most windows lost in the fire.
Lance Corporal Humphrey Moule, son of His Honour Judge William Henry Moule and Jessie Louisa Moule, enlisted on 7 September 1914, as a private in the Field Ambulance. He transferred to the Light Horse before leaving Australia for the Middle East. In June 1915 he was wounded, receiving a fractured arm, which Mrs. Moule, who was in Cairo at the time, reported to the Judge as 'slight'. Lance Corporal Moule soon returned to duty with his regiment. He was killed at Gaba Tepe on 6 August 1915, and was buried in Shell Green Cemetery on the Gallipoli Peninsula after a service by the Reverend G Robinson.
