It was designed by George Jobbins. Only the rear walls remain and are significant as a backdrop to Merritt's Place and consolidate the warehouse character of the corner of Lonsdale and King Streets. S G Deans Grocery Store 26-28 High Street,, YACKANDANDAH VIC 3749 - Property No B1828	Erected c 1870 by W. Roper. The two storey brick structure has an intact shopfront with arched display windows flanking a central double door entrance. Slim pilasters separate the doors and windows and articulate the ends of the shopfront. There are extensive outbuildings to the rear. This is a notable, intact example of nineteenth century provincial shop design and was once the principle commercial establishment in the town. Victoria Bond Store 565 - 571 Lonsdale Street,, MELBOURNE VIC 3000 - Property No B4081	George Jobbins was the architect for this 5 storey brick warehouse which was built by J. Moore in 1887. The front elevation to Lonsdale Street is undistinguished but the side and rear elevations to Merrits Lane and Little Bourke Street respectively are good examples of functional simple brick detailing for warehouses. The design of this colonial georgian style three storey structure can be attributed to colonial architect James Balmain assisted by Edward Davidson, Clerk of Works.
