This small bluestone cottage, one of only 2 stone buildings still standing in Brighton, was built in the 1850's or earlier. The site had originally been purchased in the 1850's by George Petter, a gardener. He sold it to Robert Gall,a contractor and it remained in the Gall family until 1917.
