Chilton, architect Charles Webb's own house, was built most probably in the mid 1850s, possibly with subsequent additions. The builder was most likely James Webb, brother and neighbour to Charles. Single storied, the stuccoed house is now asymmetrically composed, with a projecting bay window and a tower, faced with paired Tuscan pilasters. The cast iron verandah and french doors are features.
