Benyeo homestead, north-west of Apsley near the South Australian border, was constructed in 1863 and extended in 1882 for pioneer settler Hugh Lawrence McLeod. This single storey stone homestead is constructed of coursed rubble with freestone quoins and architraves, half octagonal bay windows and finely detailed timber verandah to the principal facade. The stone woolshed of T plan is built of rubble stone with unusual half round arched doors and fanlights.
