The Quercus Petraea (Sessile Oak) is the sole remnant of a group of trees which were gifts from the Kew Gardens in England and which were planted to celebrate the Jubilee of the Borough of Kew in December 1910. It is also a species not commonly found in cultivation and makes a significant contribution to the school landscape.
