Statement of Significance

The original house was demolished in 1976, having been found to be riddled with white ants. Original cast iron pillars and frieze around the verandah were outstanding. Their pattern type appears in the book by Dr. Graeme Robertson on the subject of cast iron. A new house was built on the site reminiscent of the original and using as many original features as could be salvaged.
