The tree was planted circa 1890 by James Dunn, grandfather of the present owners. It make a significant contribution to garden of 19th century homestead. The tree has one major limb with large cavity but otherwise appears in good health. it has a symmetrical canopy displaying classic contprted limbs of the species
15/03/2011: It would appear that this tree has deteriorated since first registration. The top of the canopy has suffered from excessive heat and drought and perhaps possums. Leaf coverage is more sparse than considered normal for a healthy tree (AB)
