The land was settled in the 1920s by the Williams family who operated a nursery until the 1960s. The nursery was operating at its peak in the 1950s and was purchased by the State Government in 1984. The site has many fine exotic and rare or uncommon trees. This impressive Sequoia sempervirens is an outstanding specimen displaying exceptional form. The tree has an almost perfect cone-shaped crown which extends close to the ground. This treeis the tallestrecordedin Victoria, the closest tree being atAire River (43.5m) and Bright Golf Club (42.8m). The tree is amongst the finest of its type in Victoria and ofhigh landscape value. The side branches and structure of the tree is impressive.It is in good condition and displaysgood vigour.
