Located on the north-east side of the residence on the main lawn. This tree is of a rare species in Victoria, the other known examples occur at Merrang, Hexham, and on the Oak Lawn of the Royal Botanic Gardens. This tree is the finest example. Originating from the Macedon State Nursery, the tree was planted at "Flint Hill" by Harold Brookes shortly after 1922, when Brookes purchased the property. The tree has a single trunk with a multi-trunked crown and makes an important contribution to the main garden
