This tree is located between Long Plain Track and Gulf Track and north of Gower's Track in the Barmah Forest
Known as 'Munro's Pile', this outstanding specimen of "forest' Red Gum,is significant for its height (second only to 'Code's Pile')and straight branchless trunk to a height of 28.8m. The tree was struck by lightning in 1979 leaving a dark scar and roughened bark. A nearby tree is dead possible due to lightning. This tree is part of the outstanding collection of 'pile' trees in the Barmah Forest.
