Other known examples occur at Geelong botanic Gardens, Broadford, Mt Alexander, Harcourt and a small specimen has been recently planted at the Royal Botanic Gardens. This species has the largest acorn of all the oaks and a very large cup They are native of Southern Europe and Western Asia
