Historical value

Two trees representing the remains of a 6 acre experimental orchard of vines, fruit trees ( about 1300 trees), flowers and vegetablesestablished in 1891 by E H Lascellesand under the direction of Mr S Parkes,horticulturist. Both trees exhibit a large rounded canopy and stout trunk.
They are located in an open paddock, 1.5km west of Hopetoun.
