A native of the Canary Islands and Azores, this tree differs from the more common Laurus nobilis in its leaves are larger, twigsdowny and fruits egg-shaped. This is an outstanding specimen which has grown into a very large tree.
Another specimen occurs along the drive of 'St Filians', Narbethong.
Located along main drive near turnaround.
