An example of tree rare in cultivation in Victoria. The only other known occurrence of the species is a mature, larger tree at Wombat Park. The tree is a valuable addition to the Eastern Park Pinetum. It has upright habit, narrow crown and appears slightly stressed.
07/04/2004. Very stressed, has dead wood, construction work around has put tree in jeopardy, tree leans to north.
16/02/2011: Recent rains have seen the tree put on new leaves, needles and cones
It is located inside Botanic Gardens Administration Compound 50m East of office block
