Outstanding size

On the North East side of the bowling club
The finer of two examples of the species in the Gardens, this tree is particularly large and has recently undergone maintenance works to highlight its structure. Unfortunately it is overcrowded by nearby Elms. The second tree, east of the rotunda, is multi-trunked with an open crown and epicormic growth. To date the largest known example of the species occurs at Talindert near Camperdown
