Location or Context: contribution to landscape; Outstanding Size: circumference

An impressive specimen growing on the kerbside (adjacent to Echuca Club carpark) which has developed a large crown and trunk. The trunk is of particular interest as it has a circumference of 8.0m at ground level. The tree is in a prominent location in the streetscape and provides an appropriate setting for the Echuca Club, established in 1897.Further street plantings of this species occur nearby but are much smaller trees. The tree would benefit from minor tree surgery and removal of stubs and basal water shoots.
Removed in December 2002 due to poor condition and safety risk
