A very straight and symmetrical example of the species, a dominant feature in this passive recreation area. Probably planted to commemorate Federation (1901). In its present position, the tree should continue to develop into one of the finest examples of the species in Victoria. Hepburn Springs is a leading tourist resort, famous for its health-giving mineral springs, claimed to be Australia's best.
