Location or Context: Tree which occurs in a unique location or context and so provides a contribution to the landscape.
Rare or Localised:

Property originally settled by the Anderson Bros. who established a nursery there.Specimen tree presumably imported by them in the 1860s. A number of poor specimens sighted in the immediate district, presumably distributed from this nursery.
The specimen in the May's garden is particularly handsome, some 16.6m in height, 2.6m circumference of trunk and 11m canopy spread. Located east of Dean's Hotel.
