This Picconia is located on the south side of the homestead, in a garden that is thought to date from the time the house was built in 1885. This multi-trunked specimen makes an attractive contribution to the unembellished lawn. Picconia excelsa is endemic to Macronesia , occurring on the Canary Islands(Spain) and Madiera(Portugal) and is uncommon in cultivation in Victoria.
This specimen appears to host a bracket fungus.
