Statement of Significance

Remnant of native vegetation

This is a stand of remnant vegetation of approximately 300 trees covering 50 acres.
The trees on the eastern side of the road have been fenced and a conservation sign has been erected.
Grey Box (E. microcarpa) was noted as an endangered ecological community in March 2010 on the advice of the Threatened Species Scientific Committee. This is due to its decline in geographic distribution; and severe decline in integrity.
