Outstanding example of species

This unusual tree in a prominent location in the median strip between the RSL and Post Office, is well-known in Bendigo.
It is a well-shaped tree possessing a globular crown of even size, and is very attractive especially in early November, when it is covered in red flowers arranged in panicles at the end of branches. The tree is a hybrid between A. hippocastanum and A.pavia.
