A large remnant specimen of River Red Gum growing beside the Mitchell River. This tree exhibits a long, well-shaped scar from the traditional cultural heritage practice of canoe making by the Gunaikurnai people, Traditional Owners of Gippsland.The scar extends for a considerable length along the trunk and is an impressive example of the sustainable traditional practice of bark removal.
