This avenue is one of the better avenue plantings in Victoria. The 80 trees form an impressive entrance to Warrnambool and is of great significance to the landscape. The Norfolk Island Pines were planted in 1903-4 as part of a beautification scheme and although other plantings occur along Raglan Parade, this is the most impressive section.
