Curious growth form
An outstanding example of the Hoop Pine (Araucaria cunninghamii). The tree has a lean to the east due to prevailing westerly winds. This is the only known example of this species in the Warrnambool/Port Fairy/Portland area. Hoop Pine occurs alond the eastern coast in isolated pockets from northern NSW to Cape York
