Acacia pendulais anendangered species in Victoria, the only other known stand, occurs at Murphy's Swamp, Echuca East. It normally occurs in the dry outback areas of Queensland and NSW
When inspected in the early 1980s by Neville Walsh, Royal Botanic Gardens, there were 8 trees; today only 3 mature trees remain and several young saplings occur along the irrigation channel. Urgent conservation actionis required. The NW tree is in the best condition with a full canopy exhibiting the full pendulous nature.
This tree is located on private land, Henty Highway, opposite Warracknabeal Aerodrome, 10 km out of township.
