Location or Context:
A tree which occurs in a unique location or context and so provides a contribution to the landscape.

Large specimen tree. The original plantings in the gardens established in 1873. The approximate age of the tree would be 110 years.

The tree was struck by lightening in 2007 and after steady decline was removed December 2011.
