This fine example of the species, is notable for its 'forest form' exhibiting a straight clean trunk with 17m to the first branch. An outstanding example, the tree has a well developed crown. A few smaller trees occur nearby, having been retained when the land was cleared last century. The former farmland (Davidson property) is now part of the Snowy River National Park.
The tree is located 3.4km from Rodger River crossing along Varneys Track, 40m from the road on the south side.
