Outstanding Size: A tree outstanding for its large height, trunk circumference or canopy spread
A very large and venerable example of this species which is often slender in form and noted for the strong peppermint smell and taste of its leaves. Located 30m from the river edge, the tree is growing in conjunction with Acacia melanoxylon and Eucalyptus sideroxylon. The tree has a large basal cavity on the east side of the trunk to 2.5m. The area is known as The Bullring, named because each September, it becomes the breeding ground for Black Bream.
This tree is located on the east bank of the Wallagaraugh River, 750m NW of a house, 1km above The Bullring east of Genoa.
