This is an important stand of trees located in the main street of Mallacoota and is a well known landmark contributing significantly to the landscape. Due to uncontrolled parking and the resultant soil compaction many of the trees show terminal dieback.. Angophora floribunda is widely distributed in south-eastern Queensland throughout eastern New South Wales apart from the northern coast, and extends just into this area of Mallacoota
