Statement of Significance

The Dandenong Ranges are a significant landform within the Melbourne region and the northern and western forested slopes, being the most visible from the metropolitan area are therefore considered to be extremely important.

LOCATION AND BOUNDARIES:

The Northern Slopes landscape is bounded by Wilkilla Road and Wombalano Road in the east; Warrawee Road and Currajong Avenue in the north; Moore Avenue, Inverness Road and the boundary of the Western Slopes Classification in the south.
