Statement of Significance

The coastline from Beleura Hill Road to Prescott Avenue contains rocky headlands separated by sandy beaches. The four mile section from Prescott Avenue to Hearne Creek is composed of rocky indented cliffs. These combine to form the finest seascapes within fifty miles of Melbourne.

LOCATION:

Western coastline of the Mornington Shire from Beleura Hill Road to Hearne Creek, Dromana. The southern most half mile section is in the Shire of Flinders. Includes the Public Purposes Reserve at Schnapper Point (Mornington Park).
