Statement of Significance

One of the most charming works of the German-born Bendigo Architect W C Vahland, of Vahland & Gertzschmann, enhanced by its siting above the township of Eaglehawk. The exterior is idiosyncratic, especially in the form of the corbelled out square bell-cote, while the interior has a depressed Gothic arch to the chancel, and vigorous and colorful wall stencilling.
