Statement of Significance

A rare surviving stable building of 1879, originally the livery and letting stables of Cobb & Co with arched roof and side skillions for loose-boxes etc. reminiscent in form of the metropolitan establishments which no longer survive, this example is constructed in timber, with only the arched roof of corrugated iron and wrought iron tie rods.
