Homestead & Outbuildings are of significance for siting, architectural and historical interest. Built. it is believed, in 1875, Greystones Homestead is a two storey building with outbuildings, gardens and gates,The house is constructed of bluestone with sandstone dressings and has a slate roof. The design is asymmetrically arranged with a projecting gabled wing and recessed porch. There is a single storied verandah and other features are the quoins, prominent chimneys and pointed openings.
Greystones Homestead is a distinctive example of a substantial house in the comparatively rare Gothic Revival Style, is architecturally notable for its design and detailing and of interest for the use of sandstone dressings, uncommon in a domestic building. The distinctive detailing includes the chimneys and their stacks, the quoins, gothic arched openings and the gable details, The octagonal bedroom is unusual. Also noteworth are the outbuildings and gardens.
Greystones Homestead and outbuildings are in good condition.
